THE QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE
The Calvados Pays d'Auge
Since its creation in 1923, Maison Lecompte has positioned itself beyond the standards of Calvados. As craftsmen, we develop made-to-measure Calvados Pays d’Auge, blending elegance and complexity.
Then, as he was a trader of wines and spirits in Normandy, he decided to sell his business to dedicate himself entirely to the development and marketing of his old calvados stock. In 1945, his son Alexandre took over the family business and two years later invested in the Maison’s first traditional pot still. His wish was to create the most exceptional Calvados Pays d’Auge.
The legacyof a father and a son
In this region, blessed by the gods, are planted the best apple orchards of Normandy. Its terroir and unique climatic conditions offer a magnificent garden for them to thrive.
The legacyof a terroir of excellence
Nearly 300 horse farms surround our cellars. These stud farms, that train some of the finest thoroughbreds in the world, share with us values of patience, transcendence and the continuous quest for excellence.
The legacyof a land of excellence
Since its creation over a century ago, Maison Lecompte has pursued a quest for excellence.
Its perfect mastery of the double distillation and the use of small casks are central pieces of its process. With rigor and meticulousness, our Cellar Master ages and blends our Calvados Pays d’Auge in order to attain the perfect balance between refinement and authenticity.
No matter its age, a Lecompte calvados offers strong and unique flavours, infinite nuances that the true connoisseur never forgets.
